Amami Daichi is Riku's father who has been away from home for work until he returns in chapter 33. He hears the story of Neene and believes it without a second doubt, but addresses the issue of Neene's accelerated growth: to achieve true happiness she needs acknowledgment and socializing. With her growth rate, even if she makes friends she'd soon outgrow them and inevitably experience loneliness. Riku finds him hard to get along with because his usually half-hearted logic is repelled by unwavingly correct opinions - although, in the end, Daichi is all for raising Neene.
